Remixes for Empathy’ is out now. Remixes of tracks taken from Moullinex’ new album ‘Requiem for Empathy’, including a new heartwarming remix of 'Minina Di Céu' from Quantic. Also included are remixes from Damian Lazarus (Re-Shape on Minina Di Céu), Poolside (Ven) and Seb Wildblood (Running in the Dark).

‘Minina di Céu’, sung in Cape-Verdean creole, narrates the life of a little girl who wakes up one day and sets out to explore the cosmos. Her story is one of hope and curiosity, beautifully narrated by Sara Tavares’ amazing vocal work, and carried by a sumptuous blend of synths and traditional west African percussion.

Since its release this April, ‘Requiem for Empathy’ has had radio support from Pete Tong at BBC Radio 1 (UK), Nemone at BBC 6music (UK) and online support coming from KALTBLUT, The Fader, Mixmag, DJ Mag and Dezeen to name a few, all rightfully giving the album the love it deserves. Moullinex will soon be taking it on the road at home before taking it out on tour internationally.

Also included on the record are his many recent collaborations, something Moullinex thrives in, with tracks with Sara Tavares, Selma Uamusse and Afonso Cabral, artists who have been redefining the Lisbon music scene by connecting the multiple cultural expressions to which the Portuguese capital is a natural meeting point. The new record was mixed by David Wrench (Caribou, Frank Ocean, The XX) and its artwork designed by Bráulio Amado, exploring shadow play in both photography and 3D art.
