Xinobi is back with a new single in the form of ‘The Moment’, once again bringing to the table an emotional and empowering production and introducing his latest collaboration, this time with newcomer, IVY.

Truly encapsulating this moment in time not only in name but also in his creative process, Xinobi has remained prolific amidst the shifting world around him. Simply put, ‘The Moment’ was born of a period of his own reflection and of meditation exercises combined with deep introspective electronic music. He goes on to add: “It’s based on pretty routine guided meditations, but with IVY giving it a more theatrical and emotional twist ” going on to explain that these are some of the things which have helped him navigate this period we are collectively going through.

'The Moment' is an elegant cut carried by mystical whispered vocals that instantly hook you from the off, dancing over foundations of chugging bass and drum and echoing synth pads. The haunting vocals beautifully introduce IVY, who has become a close collaborator, since her arrival on the scene last year with debut album ‘Over and Out’. IVY’s (Rita Sampaio) debut is equal parts pop, electronic, and dark mixed with what could sometimes be seen as aggressive language. It is auto biographical and extremely intimate. An intimacy she echoes here with IVY again telling a story in her own unique way.

Xinobi’s recent current creative output has led to constant stream of singles over the last couple of years. A process that started back in 2018 with ‘Dance to Hits’. With a new album, his first since 2017’s highly acclaimed ‘On The Quiet’, currently in the works, the idea of a retrospective was born, a collection of singles to bring us up to date, entitled ‘A Collection of Xinobi Dance Songs’, it collects the intervening time between albums, as he heads back in to the studio to complete work on his highly anticipated next full length release. ‘A Collection of Xinobi Dance Songs’ will be following shortly on June 12th.

Expect a couple more surprises before then but in the meantime, enjoy ‘The Moment’.
